I really like the author and grant features of Rexa. It gives a broader picture about the world of research, which is not just about papers (results), but the people behind it all. I won't use it exclusively, but it is a good addition to the traditional search engines like Citeseer and Google.
Hal, I've put a few of my thoughts up here on my own blog. But, to be brief: it shows wonderful potential, but is (to understate a little) a bit rough around the edges yet. Like Kevin, I love the emphasis on people and groups/conferences in addition to just papers. But most interesting part for me is the possibility of an emergent folksonomy, that will give the paper-reading community a voice to aggregate their idea of paper value.
